Sparkling Holiday Light Shows From Coast To Coast

Some traditions around the December holiday season have been around for a long time – writing a letter to Santa or visiting him at the mall to share what you’re wishing for, leaving a plate of cookies out for him when he visits, or going caroling. Other holiday traditions have come into fashion more recently, such as the craze of shopping on Cyber Monday. Another recent tradition which is gaining popularity and is becoming part of family holiday traditions across the US is venturing out to enjoy light displays. Here are three light shows that we think you won’t want to miss this season!

Garden Lights at the Atlanta Botanical Garden
Atlanta’s botanical garden offers an amazing light show that runs every evening from November 11th to January 7th. On Friday and Saturday, the show runs from 5-11 p.m. and during the week the show can be enjoyed from 5-10 p.m. During the holiday season guests can enjoy the Walk of Flames, the Tunnel of Light the Orchestral Orbs, Glittering Galaxy, Radiant Rainforest, and Model Trains. Young and old alike will enjoy the many strands of lights that cross through Storza Woods. This is the seventh year for this event at the Atlanta Botanical Gardens, and if you haven’t attended it’s something that should not be missed this December!

Illuminate SF- Festival of Lights in San Francisco
If you’re on the west coast this December, don’t miss experiencing  the San Francisco Festival of Lights. Running from Thanksgiving to New Years, this festival includes many different light installations and events that are being held throughout the city. For example, there is a SF Holiday Lights Tour at 5 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. running from November 25th to December 30th at Fisherman’s Wharf . Also, Photosynthesis: Love for All Seasons, is a light event on December 7th at 7 p.m. at the Golden Gate Park – Conservancy of Flowers. We love the diversity and adventure of this Festival – the wide variety of events will appeal to all.
